HOMESTEAD: A Native American/Western Werewolf Graphic Novel

Heading to C2E2... then heading to print!

Hello friends!

All the "back-end" processes of the Kickstarter have now finished, meaning we can now begin the final prep work for getting HOMESTEAD off to the printer!

As it stands right now, I'll be spending this weekend packing and prepping for C2E2 as well as working on the BackerKit for this campaign, which is what we'll be using to collect your shipping addressed... and perhaps give you a chance to pick-up a couple other sweet deals as part of your HOMSTEAD package.

(I mean, I'll be sending you a big box of werewolf goodness anyway... so why not give you the chance to get even a few more goodies in there should you be so inclined, right?)

All-in, it usually takes about a week to get the BackerKit ready for full launch to all of you, and in the meantime I'll be reaching out to the three of you who snagged the "Say My Name" pledge level to get the name you want in the back-up prose story of the book... so keep an eye on your messages, please, and get back to me on that ASAP.

That aside, as mentioned a moment ago, I'll then be at the always awesome C2E2 in Chicago next weekend stationed at Artist Alley Table H-8 ("Hate!") all three days... and as an added bonus, series artist and co-creator Les Garner will be hunkered down with the folks at Comics Illustrated (Booth SP17), so if you'd like to swing by and see him as well, this will be a good chance to do so!

Again, if all goes according to plan, we'll then have the final-final edits on HOMESTEAD finished-up with our esteemed publisher Source Point Press after that, and my hope is to then have the book off to the printer, so we can have it then in your hands (paws) within 100 days.

I don't think this timeline is too overly ambitious, but I'll be keeping you posted along the way every step of the way, friends... and I'll probably send you all a sneak peek or two as we go, as I absolutely cannot wait for all of you to see this book!

Friends, I just wanted to take a moment to say THANK YOU to each and every one of you here who helped us bring HOMESTEAD to life.

If you saw any of the over one dozen interviews and podcast appearances I've done over the last month about HOMESTEAD, you've probably heard me talk about what a vulnerable process launching and then running a Kickstarter is: You create a book, you create the Kickstarter campaign, and then after you get it approved (yes, that's a thing) you set a date to hit "Launch" and from that moment forward everything about the campaign is transparent and out there in the wide-open for everyone to see.

As anyone who has ever run a Kickstarter can tell you, it's a very, VERY nerve-wracking process, even if you are able to -- thanks to dedicated and supportive readers and backers old and new -- run a successful campaign.

Thanks to many of you, HOMESTEAD hit its funding goal in about 24 hours, and thanks to all of you we were able to then go on and unlock NINE Stretch Goals that will be included with every Kickstarter Exclusive Hardcover Edition of the of the book.

Hello there, silver gilded pages!

Earlier today we unlocked the EIGHTH Stretch Goal at $18,000 in pledges! This means all KS Exclusive Hardcovers will now also have the silver gilded pages, too!

Friends, I cannot tell you how excited I am about this! The Kickstarter Exclusive Hardcover Editions of HOMESTEAD are now tricked out in silver thanks to all of you! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Hello friends... and Happy Saturday!

Given all the love so many of you have been showing HOMESTEAD, I wanted to quickly share one more werewolf comic currently on Kickstarter that you may be interested in... and why you may want to pledge for your copy by the end of the day Sunday if possible!
